HR Generalist Position United Dredging is a family-owned heavy industry company providing dredging and related services across multiple states. We support a skilled, blue-collar workforce and are focused on building strong leadership, consistent HR processes, and a positive workplace culture rooted in safety, accountability, and teamwork. We are hiring an HR Generalist to support daily human resources operations and partner with supervisors and leadership across our field, shop, and office teams. This role is ideal for an HR professional with experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments who enjoys balancing hands-on HR execution with employee relations, performance management, and internal communication. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Generalist support for multi-site operations Recruiting coordination and onboarding for hourly and salaried employees New hire orientation and HR onboarding programs Performance management administration (goal setting, reviews, documentation) Employee relations support, investigations, and corrective action guidance Manager coaching on HR policies, documentation, and compliance Benefits administration support and employee questions HRIS data management and personnel records maintenance Internal HR communication, employee announcements, and engagement initiatives Company events, recognition programs, and employee engagement activities Required Qualifications 35 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role Experience supporting a manufacturing, construction, industrial, or blue-collar workforce Working knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage confidential information professionally HRIS experience required (BambooHR, Paylocity, Paycom, or similar systems) Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience in multi-state HR environments Familiarity with OSHA-regulated or safety-sensitive workplaces (non-training role) SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $70,000 $80,000 annually (based on experience) Competitive benefits package Paid time off and holidays Growth opportunity within a stable, expanding organization Why Work at United Dredging Hands-on HR role with real impact Direct partnership with leadership and supervisors Practical, no-fluff work environment Opportunity to grow into a senior HR role as the company scales Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Experience: Human Resource: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
