Maintenance Technician 1 Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks and assisting with repairs to ensure the smooth operation of pharmaceutical and oncology process, lab equipment, and support utilities. This role works under direct supervision, supports team objectives, and upholds standards for safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Performs basic tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and repairs of line and process manufacturing equipment. Under the supervision and guidance of a more senior technician, locates and diagnoses failure, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment. Performs routine general maintenance tasks as designated by supervisor, to include any or all of the following areas: process equipment and utilities, lab equipment. Coordinates maintenance on critical systems/equipment with supervisor. Performs multi-shift work/weekend work as required. Supports equipment installation and modification projects as well as construction and tenant improvement activities within the Foster City Manufacturing Organization. Complies with all safety and GMP regulations. Is required to respond to emergency notifications via phone. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant experience and a high school diploma. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates basic knowledge of maintenance systems and standards. Demonstrates basic knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety regulations. Utilizes established precedents and policies. Is able to recognize deviation from accepted practice. Demonstrates basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. The salary range for this position is: $82,195.00 - $106,370.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
