Job Description

Docket Clerk A law firm is seeking a full-time Docket Clerk to support its Los Angeles office. This is a non-exempt position with an 8-hour workday. Following successful completion of the introductory period, the current work arrangement is 2 days on-site and 3 days remote per week. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate calendaring and docketing using centralized docketing software (currently ProLaw; transitioning to Milana) Review court filings and incoming documents to identify, calculate, and calendar deadlines and key dates Monitor court dockets and update calendars and docketing databases accordingly Retrieve court documents and maintain docketing and matter records Run and distribute docketing and calendar reports as needed Conduct docket and case research using docketing systems and online court resources Support attorneys by tracking deadlines, filings, and scheduling details Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff regarding docketing procedures and deadline inquiries Qualifications High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 2 years of docketing experience in a law firm environment Experience with docketing systems, including ProLaw, Compulaw, and/or Milana Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules and procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed Compensation Annual salary range: $75,000 $95,000 Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
