Industrial Maintenance Tech (Entry-Mid Level) Schedule: M-F Dayshift occasional OT as needed Location: Acworth, GA We are looking for creative, dedicated, and outgoing people to join us in making Chief even better. Is that you? Currently seeking a mechanical/mechatronics tech to support plant production equipment repairs and maintenance. Needs to have mechanical knowledge, aptitude and experience. Mainly working on mechanical components with a few/minimal electrical involvement. Must have 2+ years of maintenance experience working on industrial size machinery, and mechanical knowledge/experience. Auto, diesel, construction, or other mechanical skilled professionals encouraged to apply. What We Are Looking For: Ability to comprehend all company and manufacturer provided documentation relative to all equipment. Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control system use. Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed properly. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Able to be on feet throughout duration of shift as well as mobility and exposure to warehouse environment Mechanical/ Electrical background working on industrial stationary machinery Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
