IT Internal Audit & Accounting Internship

This position will be based in our Raleigh, NC headquarters and requires a hybrid work schedule, with 1-2 days onsite. The intended start date is as soon as possible after an offer acceptance. The internship duration can last up to 12 months, offering 20-30 hours per week, allowing you to manage your work schedule around your academic commitments. As part of the Internal Audit team, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Supporting the company in achieving continued compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) through activities such as scoping, planning, walkthroughs, testing, and reporting status while collaborating with external auditors. Participating in various IT internal audits related to both financial and operational applications. Gathering and analyzing data using methods such as interviews and financial research. Assisting in the development and presentation of findings and recommendations aimed at enhancing internal controls. Preparing detailed work papers for each assigned project. Assisting in drafting Internal Audit reports that identify the scope, issues discovered, recommendations, and management action plans. Engaging and communicating with IT owners and upper-level management during audit activities. Participating in additional internal audit projects as assigned. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting or a Master's degree in Business Administration at the time of hiring. Strong listening and communication skills. Intellectual curiosity. Ability to work collaboratively, exhibiting humility and openness to feedback and coaching. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity. Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills. The base compensation for this position is $24 per hour. Your actual base salary will be determined based on various factors, including relevant experience, skills, location, credentials, and internal equity.
