SENIOR FLOOR SUPERVISOR As a Senior Floor Supervisor, you will be instrumental in shaping our store's success by inspiring and guiding customers in their culinary adventures. Collaborate closely with the General Manager or Store Manager to meet sales goals and oversee daily operations while fulfilling the role of Manager on Duty (MOD). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Foster a knowledgeable and effective team environment by supporting the training of all employees. Exemplify and enforce high customer service standards to ensure a remarkable shopping experience. Communicate Sur La Table's policies and procedures with clarity, ensuring adherence by the entire team. Provide immediate coaching and constructive feedback to team members, escalating concerns to management as needed. Develop daily action plans and support initiatives aimed at driving sales. Guide staff in maintaining optimal merchandise stock levels and visual presentation according to company standards. Stay updated on product knowledge and utilize training resources to assist customers effectively. Ensure compliance with timekeeping practices as per SLT Policy. Manage inventory transactions, including receiving and processing merchandise accurately. Maintain strong communication with team members, customers, and management through verbal and written channels. Accurately record your working hours in accordance with SLT policy. Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Exceptional verbal communication skills for effective interaction with both employees and customers. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while engaging with customers enthusiastically. Physical capability to coach staff, provide exceptional customer service, and handle merchandise efficiently. Flexible availability to observe various customer shopping patterns. Comfortable lifting/moving merchandise up to 35 lbs. Proficient in using computers, POS systems, and other related technology. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: At least 1 year in retail sales and customer service, preferably as a Sales Associate at Sur La Table. 1 year of experience in a supervisory role is preferred. Familiarity with POS Systems and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Food Handlers Certification may be required. OUR TEAM CULTURE: You inspire and engage our customers passionately.
