Your Role Join the Information Technology team at Blue Shield, where we manage data & analytics, strategic planning, IT infrastructure services, and more. As a UX Research Intern, you'll work closely with the Director of UX Research & Product Design. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to participate in the entire UX/UI design process—conducting research to identify user needs and behaviors and transforming these insights into impactful product insights, personas, journey maps, and digital mockups. Your Knowledge and Experience Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; completion of a UX-focused bootcamp or certification program is also acceptable. At least 1 year of relevant professional experience, project work, or coursework is required. Must reside in California. Experience in providing user research support is preferred. Familiarity with Figma or UserZoom is a plus. Experience in UI and Visual design is an added advantage. Compensation Earn $25.00 per hour if you're an undergraduate, or $30.00 per hour if you're a graduate candidate. Application Process and Timeline: Now: We are actively accepting applications. February: Candidates who meet the requirements will receive an invitation to complete a Pre-Recorded Video Interview. February-April: Second round interviews will be held, and offers will be extended. As an intern at Blue Shield of California, you will: Engage in impactful projects throughout a 10-week internship program. Follow a 10-week curriculum to introduce interns to BSC, leadership skills, and the healthcare industry. Participate in BSC employee events and networking activities, including Employee Resource Groups and volunteer opportunities.
