In this role, you will blend strategic product vision with practical design skills to craft intuitive and scalable AI products that enhance user experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing enterprise AI products, driving quick prototyping, and creating design systems that empower teams to work efficiently. Product Strategy & Vision Help shape and implement the product vision and strategy for applied AI solutions in your designated teams or products. Transform business objectives and user needs into impactful product roadmaps and design strategies. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user studies to steer product direction. Define success metrics and KPIs to assess user adoption and satisfaction while contributing to effective product positioning and go-to-market strategies. Design & Innovation Leadership Oversee product design for AI applications, including GenAI interfaces and intelligent automation. Facilitate brainstorming sessions, design sprints, and workshops to expedite product development. Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and interactive mockups to convey your product vision clearly. Design user-friendly interfaces for AI-powered tools and dashboards, and contribute to design systems and UI/UX patterns. Apply human-centered design principles to tackle complex challenges, support innovation, and enhance iterative design approaches. Framework & System Design Develop reusable frameworks and design patterns that improve productivity across platform teams. Contribute to design guidelines, templates, and best practices for AI product development. Create product playbooks and frameworks tailored for AI use cases while applying service design frameworks. Ensure the application of information architecture standards and data visualization principles. Establish accessibility standards and inclusive design guidelines for all AI products. User Research & Insights Engage in user research to identify needs, behaviors, and pain points of AI product users. Conduct usability testing and feedback sessions to confirm product designs. Build user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints for AI solutions. Analyze user behavior data to drive design enhancements and integrate research findings into actionable recommendations. Required Qualifications Experience 7+ years in product design, UX/UI design, or product management roles. Demonstrated experience in designing AI/ML products in enterprise settings. Proven history of developing successful digital products from concept to launch. Hands-on experience in crafting design systems and reusable components. Strong background in consumer-facing and enterprise B2B product design. Experience in designing conversational AI interfaces, GenAI applications, or automation tools. Hands-on experience in leading design for data-driven applications and analytics platforms. Design & Product Skills Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.). Advanced skills in UX design, UI design, and interaction design. Strong grasp of visual design principles, typography, and color theory. Experience with design thinking and human-centered design methodologies. Familiarity with prototyping techniques (interactive prototypes, animations). Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React). Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design. Experience in data visualization and designing for complex datasets. AI & Technical Knowledge Deep comprehension of AI/ML concepts and their relevance to product design. Experience with Generative AI platforms and prompt engineering. Knowledge of RAG architectures and retrieval systems for AI applications. Understanding of conversational AI design patterns and natural language interfaces. Familiarity with responsible AI principles and ethical AI design. Understanding of API design and integration patterns for AI services. Experience in designing for model confidence and AI explainability. Research & Strategy Capabilities Expertise in user research methodologies, including interviews and usability testing. Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research techniques. Capability in product strategy development, including roadmap planning. Aptitude for synthesizing information and turning insights into actionable product requirements. Experience with agile methodologies and iterative design processes. Ability to develop business cases and ROI models for product initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Leadership & Communication Strong problem-solving skills to balance innovation with execution. Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for sharing design vision. Excellent collaboration abilities across teams. Ability to provide and accept constructive design feedback. Awareness of industry trends and best practices in AI product design. Additional Information This position follows a hybrid work style and must be performed at one of our designated IT hub locations: Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; New York City; or Washington, D.C. To ensure that our employees can work effectively from home, internet service must meet specific criteria: a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required. Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested; satellite connections require leadership approval. Employees working from home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly internet expense payment. Humana will provide essential telephone equipment for this role. Work from a dedicated space that avoids ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range reflects an estimate of the starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting, with variations based on location and individual qualifications. $151,600 - $208,400 per year This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company or individual performance.
