The effective candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment on 2nd Shift. This role will support production and development/prototype assemblies and products within the Advanced Product Center (APC) at the McKinney, TX site. What You Will Do Assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, fabrication, solder, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Set up and operate a variety of machine and hand instruments. Route, dispatch and expedite flow of material. Check for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments. Experience working in a classified or proprietary program environment is preferred. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. SECRET government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards Basic computer and math skills. Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.) Ability to shift job assignments based on production requests. Communicate effectively, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts. Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals. Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process. Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. Effective time management skills. Demonstrated motivation for continuous improvement. Ability to accomplish daily work tasks with a positive attitude and interpersonal tact skills. Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
