Job Description Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and requirements. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitive pricing. Develop complete bid packages and proposals for submission. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project details and resolve discrepancies. Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases. Participate in preconstruction meetings and support valueengineering efforts. Track market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate forecasting. The Successful Applicant Strong background in construction estimating, ideally 3-7 years of experience in commercial or industrial projects. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage, PlanSwift). Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with precision. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
