Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to lead the charge in test automation architecture, strategy, and execution. In this hands-on role, you will provide vital technical leadership within our enterprise, driving software quality assurance while implementing best practices for automation tools, testing methodologies, and test data management. Collaborate with leadership at all levels to design and maintain robust automation frameworks and strategies that enhance our healthcare solutions. Our headquarters is located in Lexington, Massachusetts, a hub for healthcare research in a historic town. Job Description Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with delivery teams to develop testing and automation solutions that facilitate Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Evaluate existing automation and testing practices and conduct gap analyses to guide strategic improvements. Lead and mentor a growing team of software quality assurance engineers. Design and implement enterprise-wide test automation frameworks leveraging AI-assisted tools. Architect cloud-native testing infrastructures for distributed and microservice-based environments. Establish testing standards, governance models, and best practices across the organization. Implement intelligent test data management and synthetic data generation strategies. Guide teams in the adoption of modern testing tools and techniques. Engage in exploratory testing to gain a deep understanding of relevant domains, architectures, and requirements. Contribute as a vital technical tester working with large-scale enterprise applications. Focus on quality engineering and promote continuous improvement in processes and technology. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of experience in software test automation development. 2+ years of experience with Cypress and JavaScript. Extensive hands-on experience in test automation framework architecture. Recent experience in leading QA engineers in test automation best practices. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Expertise in automating AI system testing is essential. Deep knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices, including coding with Groovy for test execution jobs. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker for microservices is required. Hands-on experience in API integration test automation and enhancing automation using Java, Junit/TestNG, and Cucumber. Proficiency in UI automation using Selenium, Maven, Java, and Cucumber technologies to develop UI test automation suites. Experience in debugging and troubleshooting in Linux environments. Physical Requirements: This position involves the following physical demands: Ability to sit for 75-100% of the time. Ability to use hands and fingers for manipulation, including keyboard usage, 100% of the time. Capability to stand, talk, and hear for 25% of the time. Ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds for 20% of the time. Close vision ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less. Travel: Up to 10% travel may be required based on business needs.
