Pellet Production Operator Full-time, Permanent On-site Location: Aliceville, AL Join Drax in our mission towards a zero-carbon, sustainable future! We seek a proactive and energetic team player to become our Pellet Production Operator. Your Role: You will be an integral part of our production team, supporting operations by maintaining high safety standards and helping to meet production targets in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Continuously monitor the operation of pellet mills, hammer mills, and associated equipment to ensure top-notch production quality, swiftly addressing issues and identifying improvement opportunities. Adhere to standard operating procedures for all areas of operation, from start-up to shutdown and normal functions. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following safety protocols and housekeeping standards. Perform routine maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition. Demonstrate a commitment to safe working practices and maintain a proactive safety mindset. Effectively communicate within the team and adapt to various roles as needed to support business objectives. Maintain accurate logs and records of plant checks and operations. Be willing to take on various tasks and shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Operate machinery to control system functions effectively. Inspect and document equipment conditions, reporting any mechanical issues. Record operational data, including readings from meters and gauges. Capably perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, walking, climbing, and working at heights. Recognize risks and adhere to detailed Job Risk Assessments to mitigate workplace hazards.
