One CaliforniaJob Summary and ResponsibilitiesDay Part Time Break Relief Registered Nurse Surgical Acute Our 32-bed Trauma Med/Surg Unit receives direct admits from our Emergency Department and transfers from our TICU. The unit is equipped with a monitoring system (a camera/monitor in the patients room) which allows a video monitor tech (VMT) to communicate via microphone with the patient in the room or if needed activate an alarm to alert staff. Besides the opportunity to learn via classes our Trauma Surgeons are very supportive in helping with staff education to allow RNs to be more comfortable and confident in managing Trauma patients. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards. Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating. Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit. Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system. Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership. Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments. Job RequirementsThis position is intended to break the unit RNs for lunches and breaks during the hours of 1045-1715. Required: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital Current California RN License required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Other certifications may be required
