We are on the lookout for an experienced Actuary specializing in the Pharmacy Services sector to collaborate closely with our Senior Director of Pricing and Vendor Relationships. This is an analytical-driven role where your expertise in data analysis, forecasting, modeling, and reporting will be crucial in evaluating programs and identifying potential risks. Key Responsibilities Include: Provide valuable insights, information, and expertise to coworkers and stakeholders; effectively influence through clear technical explanations and examples. Utilize your current expertise in Commercial Pharmacy benefits to develop innovative solutions, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while collaborating cross-functionally to tackle business challenges; communicate progress and prioritize tasks effectively. Prepare and review actuarial documentation for accuracy and compliance for financial reports, audits, and regulatory inquiries. Conduct detailed analyses of product line financials, pricing, and valuation, while assessing performance, risks, and assumptions used in product development and Requests for Proposals. Stay updated with the latest actuarial research, including emerging standards, competition, and the regulatory landscape. Employ actuarial methods to assess and interpret financial risks and opportunities while conducting in-depth analyses. Translate complex actuarial concepts into actionable, non-technical recommendations, fully complying with the Actuarial Standards of Practice. Enhance and develop actuarial models, contribute to alternative forecasts, and assist in validating data and outcomes. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience with at least 3 years in the Commercial Payer or Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) industry. Bachelor's degree in a related field and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation is required. Strong data analytics skills; proficient in data visualization techniques including advanced Excel; knowledge of SQL or SAS is preferred. Proficient in data manipulation software such as Excel, SAS, or Python. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with diverse stakeholders. Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and user models. Strong time management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently and effectively. Demonstrated independence in project management. Proficiency in process mapping and methodologies for quality/process improvement. Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated hiring range for this role is $115,200 - $144,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations.
