POSITION SUMMARY This role provides vital clinical nursing support to Williamson Medical Group. Key responsibilities include communicating clinical information to patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and managing clinical supplies. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Formal Education / Training: Earned a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution. Licensed by the State of Tennessee. Workplace Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office environment. Equipment and Skills Training: Competency in the use of a Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications. Physical Environment: Office environment. Physical Effort: Ability to sit, stand, communicate fluently in English (both orally and in writing), and lift over 20 pounds. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Accurately record patients' medical histories and vital signs. Administer immunizations and injections as appropriate. Provide health-related counseling to patients. Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals. Coordinate referrals to other medical services. Secure consultations and specialists. Triage phone calls and manage patient portal messages. Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing. Assist physicians with medical and surgical procedures. Observe universal precautions. Maintain quality assurance for office labs. Practice proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medication.
