The Division of Community Correction is recruiting for Two Treatment Specialist 1 positions. One position will be working in Region 4 out of Appleton, WI. One position will be working in Region 7 out of Waukesha, WI. Position Summary This position is responsible for implementation, evaluation, and coordination of treatment programming addressing criminogenic needs, including Substance Use Disorder programming, in accordance with current program standards. This requires group preparation and facilitation, review of each participant's practice work, documentation weekly regarding each participant's progress, and completion of a discharge summary. This position will work to identify the nature and cause of the client's strengths and weaknesses as they relate to substance use , social functioning, and other treatment areas as identified. Upon approval of the Clinical Supervisor, the Treatment Specialist 1 will formulate and implement treatment plans, and provide treatment and guidance in line with accepted modules. This position will have consultation and liaison responsibilities with DCC staff, facilitating appropriate referrals for clients with identified needs as well as participants in the addictive/non-addictive programming areas. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) assessments and program recommendations. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range (12-64) with an annual salary of $62275-$68515, plus a $1.50 to $2.00 add-on based on your Substance Use Disorder credential. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Sign on - Bonus: Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1500 on the first paycheck and $1500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). To receive the bonus , a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that position for a year . I f the candidate l eave s their position prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment. Qualifications SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Applicants must hold SUD Certification from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) by possession of: Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification.
