General Purpose: This role is essential in providing a strong presence at store entrances and exits, working to prevent theft and maintain a safe environment for both associates and customers. The Specialist will greet customers warmly and monitor for theft indicators while ensuring compliance with company policies. Essential Functions: Uphold a Safe & Secure Environment: Make safety a top priority and assist in maintaining a secure space for everyone. Display a Visible Presence: Greet customers with warmth and make eye contact, wearing required company attire to deter theft. Identify and address potential safety issues on the sales floor. Team Partnership: Deliver exceptional customer service by being approachable and helpful. Treat every person with respect and professionalism. Recognize team members using company recognition programs and engage regularly with associates to build rapport. Participate in meetings and training sessions to foster teamwork and growth. Fulfill additional duties that support loss prevention initiatives. Brand Representation: Consistently represent and uphold the company’s branding efforts. Maintain a professional appearance in alignment with company dress standards. Theft Prevention: Monitor for suspicious activities both at entrances and on the sales floor. Provide valuable feedback and data to assist in identifying theft trends. Follow all established protocols for theft response. Utilize company best practices to maximize productivity and minimize loss. Operational Efficiency: Educate and train associates on loss prevention best practices. Verify proper checkout procedures are followed by all customers and associates. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; an AA degree is preferred. Experience in retail supervision or similar roles preferred (minimum one year). Training in loss prevention or security is beneficial. Active Security Guard License is advantageous. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Exemplary customer service capabilities. Proficient in conflict resolution. Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations for security positions. Physical Requirements: Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods. Capacity to lift or lower objects over 25 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, or crouching may be necessary, depending on daily tasks. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
