Candidates must be able to work varied day shift hours. Description: This position requires no on-call duties. Weekend work is required one weekend per month, with weekdays off to balance the schedule. Candidates must demonstrate experience in acute care, skilled nursing facility, and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings. The unit is an inpatient rehabilitation setting with a capacity of 42 beds. Staffing varies with an average of 12 staff members on duty based on patient volume. Types of staff include a Director, Lead Physical Therapist, Physical and Occupational Therapists, and assistants. The day shift typically comprises a Director, Lead PT, 4-5 PTs, and 5-6 PTAs. The patient ratios depend on the volume of patients. Patients may require treatment for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical conditions. The treatment equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Ideal candidates will be critical thinkers, possess patient care experience, and be team players.
