Your Opportunity We are actively looking for a motivated Jr. Security Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Security Operations team. This is a unique chance to become a valued member of the SecOps organization, collaborating with cybersecurity professionals across various departments, including IT, Network, Engineering, and Security Architecture. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in crucial areas such as real-time monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence, building a strong foundation in security operations practices. What You'll Do As a part of our team, you will help maintain daily security operations and enhance our organization's security posture by: Operational Monitoring & Incident Response Investigating potential security issues through various security tools. Utilizing XDR, SIEM, cloud tooling, and endpoint detection platforms. Participating in regular incident response exercises. Contributing to investigations and optimizing security alerts. Security Tools, Automation & Process Improvement Assisting in the management and tuning of security tools and processes. Collaborating with IT, Engineering, Network, and Security Architecture teams. Supporting vulnerability management and remediation efforts. Driving operational improvements through scripting and automation. Cloud & Infrastructure Security Gaining exposure to securing AWS Public Cloud and hybrid cloud environments. Working with AWS technologies such as Route53, Direct Connect, WAF, CloudWatch, and Config. Ensuring infrastructure aligns with compliance standards like FedRAMP, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and SOC frameworks. Team Engagement Participating in on-call rotations. Contributing documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills to enhance the SecOps team culture. About You Pursuing a Degree in a technical or business discipline. Experience with automation scripting (Python, PowerShell), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), or DevOps/DevSecOps is a plus. Desire to learn about IT security and incident management processes. What Sets You Apart Exposure to security incident investigation and management, along with familiarity with common security tools (SIEM, Vulnerability Scanners, XDR). Understanding of securing AWS Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud environments. AWS-specific skills in Networking (Route53, Direct Connect) and Security (WAF, Config, CloudWatch) are preferred. Security Certifications (CompTIA Security, CISSP, CEH, GSEC) or plans to earn them are advantageous. Experience in defining and implementing network environments in compliance with security policies, such as FEDRAMP, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks. Pay Range USD $20.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr. The actual salary will consider various factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, along with the position's work location.
