Position: Vessel Services Support Representative Company: American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) Location: Jeffersonville, IN (on-site) Job Type: Full Time; Salary Join American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) as a Senior Financial Accountant, where your expertise will have a direct impact on the integrity of our financial records and strategic decision-making. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all financial transactions are recorded with precision, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, and prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports. You will dive deep into analyzing current costs, revenues, and financial commitments, providing insightful analyses that predict future performance and guide our business strategy. Your Impact: Prepare and post financial journal entries, including intercompany adjustments. Review and analyze general ledger account balances to ensure accuracy. Verify the correctness of ledger entries and suggest necessary corrections. Prepare monthly reconciliations and detailed balance sheets. Act as a mentor to junior accountants. Perform other duties as assigned. What We Seek: High School Diploma/GED. Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles. Proficiency in MS Office, Oracle, and other financial systems. 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience. Valid Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean concepts is advantageous.
