CDL Class A Delivery Driver with Sign-on Bonus

The CDL-A Driver operates a tractor-trailer or straight truck for the purpose of delivering food and related products safely and efficiently, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Professionally communicate with customers, vendors, and co-workers, providing timely and accurate answers to inquiries. Collaborate as a team member within the department and organization to fulfill any necessary duties. Conduct safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer to comply with DOT regulations; address safety issues or repairs as necessary. Report safety hazards promptly and ensure trailer loads are properly secured. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving policies. Perform counts of loaded items and verify customer invoices. Accurately complete all required paperwork related to freight. Safely move the tractor to the loading dock and attach the preloaded trailer when required. Deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route schedule. Unload products into designated customer storage areas. Check items for damages, scan orders, and communicate with supervisors regarding returns. Confirm delivery of products with customers and obtain necessary signatures. Collect payments where applicable and secure the trailer after loading customer returns. Ensure tractor and trailer security throughout the delivery process. Unload damaged products and return them to the driver check-in, completing required paperwork. Maintain accurate records of hours of service per Federal DOT and company standards. Keep the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers clean and tidy as per company requirements. Secure all equipment at the end of the shift and complete necessary paperwork. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience Valid CDL-A license Age 21 or older Compliance with state licensing and certification requirements Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check Successfully complete a road test Must have a current DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one Capable of lifting and utilizing equipment to handle product cases weighing between 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds depending on the location.
