Automation Controls Engineer

Job Description We are on the lookout for a dedicated Automation Controls Engineer to enhance our automation, controls design, and equipment performance within a dynamic and fast-paced setting. This role requires approximately 30% travel. Key Responsibilities Design, document, and maintain electrical control systems for various industrial equipment, focusing on both low-voltage and 3-phase power. Develop, modify, and support PLC and HMI applications used in machine control. Troubleshoot electrical and control issues both on the production floor and during equipment testing. Collaborate with mechanical, production, and project teams to support new builds and design enhancements. Create and update electrical drawings, technical documentation, and operator materials. Manage multiple controls projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks and adhering to timelines. Act as a technical resource for both internal teams and provide limited external support. Required Background Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience. Hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems. Proficient in using AutoCAD for creating electrical schematics and layouts. Strong understanding of industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP or CAN-based systems. Ability to work independently while driving projects from design through to implementation. Excellent communication and organizational skills coupled with a practical, problem-solving approach.
