Join Cardinal Health's Specialty Networks Solutions: At Cardinal Health, the Specialty Networks team plays a vital role in driving clinical and economic value for independent specialty providers across various therapeutic areas through nine specialty GPOs. Our mission is to enhance patient outcomes by ensuring timely access to the right care. We collaborate with over 20,000 specialty physician offices and clinics nationwide, alongside more than 300 manufacturing partners. This dynamic business unit utilizes its data platforms, including PPS Analytics and Specialty Networks Business Solutions, to generate significant value for our community member practices and partners. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Director of Clinical Data Informatics who will engage with manufacturers to uncover data capability opportunities for both internal and external applications. This role offers a unique chance to drive revenue generation and gather critical data insights for strategic contracting discussions aimed at benefiting our community-based practices and their patients. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive utilization data analyses from multiple sources to support GPO contract negotiations and strategies. Facilitate discussions with manufacturers regarding practice decision-making criteria, focusing on pricing and clinical considerations. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with targeted strategic manufacturers. Collaborate with manufacturers to identify performance metrics for innovative contracting and data pilot initiatives. Initiate dialogue with manufacturer partners about innovative contracting concepts while guiding members on execution and performance expectations. Support non-clinical sales and consulting teams with explanations of clinical-based contracts. Oversee data pulls and quality assurance processes for all data-driven contracts. Evaluate data capabilities from member practices to enhance program participation. Analyze and present findings to manufacturers, member practices, and MSO leadership, collaborating with practice specialists to support formulary analyses. Communicate practice data during QBRs or specialized meetings focused on data-driven contracts. Engage in GPO capabilities discussions by leveraging industry expertise to assess strategic alignment. Contribute to discussions regarding current market conditions, product launches, and pricing strategies. Partner with manufacturers to spearhead quality improvement projects within practices focused on treatment optimization and patient identification. Conduct competitor analyses within oncology, urology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and other multispecialty areas. Educate team members on relevant clinical information related to significant drug classes and indications. Serve as the GPO liaison with clinical contacts at manufacturers and clinical teams within Cardinal Health. Participate in provider office steering committees regarding GPO technology. Assist internal teams in selling GPO-specific data, programs, and engagements. Support GPO operations with utilization data and dosing analyses. Contribute to GPO meetings across all therapeutic areas and represent Cardinal Health at external conferences and events. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, RPh, etc.). Experience in oncology, urology, gastroenterology, and rheumatology specialties. Preferred background in healthcare informatics or data analysis; familiarity with healthcare technology is a plus. Knowledge of EHR data and claims data is beneficial. Experience in Manufacturer HEORS is desirable. Proven ability to identify data requirements, analyze datasets, and derive actionable insights. Excellent communication skills for presenting results to customers and executive leaders clearly and effectively. Experience in interacting with clinicians to deliver data-driven insights that enhance patient outcomes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Confident executive presence with exceptional presentation abilities. Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time, including some weekends. Leads highly complex, cross-functional projects with significant long-term impacts. Negotiate complex technical business issues for the company. Independently plan project objectives and establish budgets while mitigating risks. Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
