Job Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role is accountable for supervising frontline employees, implementing production strategies, and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations. Operating at the site level, the Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Manager or Operations Manager and serves as a key link between production staff and senior leadership. Job Responsibilities: Lead production teams to meet quality standards and on-time delivery requirements. Coordinate with department leads to manage workflow and ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities. Set clear performance goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching, feedback, and formal evaluations. Administer performance management, including discipline and recognition in accordance with company policies. Address employee concerns and complaints, fostering a respectful and solution-oriented work environment. Maintain accurate personnel records, including timekeeping, attendance, and performance data. Promote and enforce workplace safety policies; ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Respond to workplace incidents with immediate first aid and escalate to medical professionals as needed. Ensure proper use of PPE and verify safe work practices throughout the production area. Complete and submit timely accident and incident reports to HR. Support onboarding of new employees by communicating company policies, procedures, and expectations. Track and report daily unallocated labor, and collaborate with HR to resolve staffing or disciplinary issues. Supervise and evaluate employee training progress; determine readiness to meet job standards. Recommend actions on promotions, discipline, or termination based on employee performance and behavior. Conduct regular performance reviews and establish development plans for team members. Review shift production reports and align Team Leaders with daily goals and priorities. Ensure all work is performed according to approved work instructions and quality specifications. Participate in corrective action activities and drive process improvements where needed. Assist HR with tracking attendance, overtime, and employee scheduling. Foster a diverse, equitable, and harassment-free workplace aligned with company values. Support and adhere to the organization's quality and environmental policies. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Experienced in running and monitoring daily KPIs for production. Prior experience in team leadership, coaching, and employee development. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy. Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Solid understanding of safety standards and manufacturing workflows.
