Please do not share outside of the organization.Your Role Join our team at MilliporeSigma as a Procurement Specialist I, where you'll play a key role in ensuring material availability and keeping our operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll manage raw materials, process and track purchase orders, engage with suppliers, and support sourcing activities. You'll work closely with planning teams, resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate ERP records, and help drive on-time delivery across the business. Responsibilities include the following: Plan all assigned raw materials by planner code and process orders in ERP System when required Acknowledge order placement with suppliers for order acceptance and delivery confirmation Proactively monitor and make decisions to expedite orders to ensure material is delivered on time Successfully resolve all receiving discrepancies from suppliers Successfully resolve all invoice discrepancies from suppliers Update and maintain Purchasing records as required in ERP system Light negotiation and supplier sourcing activities as needed Perform Requests for Quotes, Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals as assigned Process product change system forms for changes to materials Review and qualify new suppliers according to standard operating procedures Independently review, discuss and work closely with higher level material Planners and Master Schedulers and make decisions to resolve all issues Other duties as assigned Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year of professional work experience in any field Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or Life Science discipline Six Sigma certification with a proven ability to apply continuous improvement methodologies 1+ year of specialized purchasing experience within a Biochemical or Biotechnology procurement environment 3+ years of Microsoft Office proficiency, featuring advanced Excel skills 1+ year of hands-on experience navigating and managing workflows within the Fourth Shift ERP system Comprehensive knowledge of modern purchasing principles, strategic sourcing methods, and procurement techniques Strong command of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and integrated supply chain planning practices 1+ year of experience communicating effectively across all organizational levels and with external global partners Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data to drive informed procurement decisions Exceptional organizational abilities and the discipline to manage high-priority tasks under tight deadlines Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including a mastery of professional email etiquette Proven ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment with shifting requirements Pay Range for this position - $55,000 - $82,300 / annually The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
