Job Description

Position Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician. This role supports pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and assisting with billing and quality assurance tasks. Key Responsibilities: Welcome customers promptly, collect patient and insurance details. Process prescription requests, review patient profiles, and handle refill orders including SIG code translation. Accurately count, measure, label, and cap medication containers. Support front store operations and fill unit dose trays with precision. Manage billing functions such as updating pricing lists and processing patient charges timely. Adhere to cash handling policies and report discrepancies. Research prior authorizations, resolve third-party billing issues, and assist with insurance audits. Monitor stock levels, place medication orders, unpack deliveries, and return expired or damaged inventory. Maintain compounding records, prescription logs, and other documentation as required. Assist with quality assurance, department cleaning, form design, and meeting preparation. Contribute to the development of pharmacy technician policies and procedures. Complete monthly reports and monitor pharmacy refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily. Maintain accurate controlled substance logs (C III, IV, V). Prepare vaccines and assist with immunization administration under pharmacist supervision. Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a Licensed Pharmacy Technician with certification or obtain certification within one year of hire. Experience and Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current car insurance are necessary.
