Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary: $1850-$1950/week Location: Lynchburg, VA 24503 - Virginia nursing job / Lynchburg VA nursing Setting: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) - CSH Nursing Unit Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN/Travel Nurse) Start Date: April 7, 2026 (Orientation occurs every other Monday) End Date: July 4, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (Night Shift Nursing) Hours per Week: 36 Weekends: 2-3 weekends per month, based on unit need Float: Not required Job Requirements Minimum 2 years recent experience in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC), critical care, or related specialty Prior travel nursing experience required (Travel RN / Travel Nurse) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state (required at time of submission) BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and ventilator weaning, chest tubes, drains, IV medication administration, and wound care All requested time off must be submitted with application Locals within 60 miles are not eligible Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to LTAC patients, specializing in ventilator management and weaning (ventilator-dependent patients) Manage patients with chest tubes, drains, IV medications, and complex wound care Deliver evidence-based care for infectious disease cases and participate in infection control practices Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:4 or 1:5) Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support a learning environment for students and new hires Work 12-hour night shifts, including 2-3 weekends per month as needed; complete assignments ending on Saturdays Ready to apply for this LTAC RN travel nursing opportunity in Lynchburg, VA?
