Job Details Location: Pleasant Hill, California (Zip: 94523) - Pleasant Hill - Bay Area travel PT opportunity Setting: Hospital (acute care / inpatient) Assignment Type: Travel assignment / travel physical therapist job Start Date: March 9, 2026 End Date: June 6, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed 36 hours) Shift: 8-hour days Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,220 - $2,380 per week Qualifications & Requirements Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in California (California PT license required) Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist in a hospital, acute care, or inpatient setting (acute care PT preferred) Clinical skills in women's health, vestibular therapy, pelvic rehab, and/or hospital-based therapy are highly desirable Strong documentation skills and experience with electronic medical records Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities within interdisciplinary healthcare teams Ability to start on or before March 9, 2026 Primary Responsibilities Deliver high-quality physical therapy evaluation and treatment for hospital inpatients Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment, diagnosis, and functional goals Provide acute care interventions, discharge planning input, and safe mobility training Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes Document patient progress, clinical findings, and plan of care accurately and in a timely manner Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, fall prevention, and post-discharge instructions Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered hospital environment This travel physical therapy job in Pleasant Hill, CA is an excellent opportunity for PTs seeking hospital-based experience in a supportive Bay Area community.
