Job Description: FUNCTION & SCOPE: Reporting to the Manager of HCM & Financials Business Services, the Senior Business Analyst will interface and act as the liaison to the RF Information Technology Services Department and the associated functional units within RFCO Departments and Campuses. The individual in this position will be responsible for business alignment and service delivery as it relates to various Human Resources functions including Benefits and Retirement. DUTIES:Business alignment and relationship building: Foster a solid working relationship with ITS staff and other HR/Benefits team members. Organize and facilitate meetings with appropriate staff to gain an understanding of their business processes and technological needs. Focus team member on the delivery of reliable systems, business process improvements, and innovation. Participate as the Research Foundation representative on outside focus groups or committees. Strong critical thinkers with problem solving aptitude and ability to take initiative. Ability to manage customer expectations and produce products that demonstrate results. Solution design and delivery: Develop and clearly communicate business requirements. Work closely with ITS Business Technology staff in the design/development of effective technology solutions. Provide strong representation of the Business Applications in the design/development of technology solutions. Keep appraising new and revised business requirements and ensure the system accommodates these needs, working with Oracle and technical programming staff as appropriate. Lead and coordinate testing and implementation of solutions to ensure final delivery to the business. Ensures knowledge transfer to operational staff by assisting with documentation and training needs. Ability to translate complex HR and benefit regulatory requirements into functional and technical solutions, ensuring accurate system configuration, compliance, and seamless benefit administration. Work management: Own portfolio of work activities for each operational unit Clearly communicate status of work performed on behalf of the operational unit. Demonstrate the ability to serve as a project manager. Mentor new and existing business analysts on all aspects of the Business Applications in the design/development of technology solutions. Assist in coordinating and communicating with various user groups on significant events. Participating as an active team member Conduct other duties as assigned. Production Support: Establish protocols for issue resolution. Ensure the team responds quickly to Production defects to assess criticality and restore application and/or functions in a timely manner. Document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for preventative measures. Available for on-call or after-hours support, as needed. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party software and technology vendors. Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing. Ensure vendor performance and compliance with agreements. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and automation using technology. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies. User Support and Training: Provide support and training for end-users on business applications. Establish and maintain support processes and helpdesk services. Requirements: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is highly desirable. 8-10 years of experience in related human resources, benefit, and retirement environments Experience with benefit integration into payroll, specifically Oracle Advanced Benefits Ability to analyze and resolve eligibility, enrollment, and payroll deduction errors. Experience supporting human resources and benefit system configurations and enhancements. Experience supporting paid-time off and leave administration. Experience supporting year-end activities (Affordable Care Act 1095C, 1094C) Participation in HR system testing and validation Ability to independently lead or facilitate meetings. Commitment to a team-based approach, quality assurance and project management principles and methodologies Knowledge of the Oracle E Business Suite - HR functions and Oracle Advanced Benefits Knowledge of data delivery tools Strong knowledge of the system development lifecycle Knowledge of Governmental Compliance and reporting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. COMPENSATION FOR THIS POSITION: The compensation for this role is between $94,471-$119,071. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
