Accounting Manager - Global Lease AccountingWhy This Opportunity Stands Out Join a globally recognized real estate platform known for innovation and operational excellence High-visibility role supporting North American operating properties across diverse asset types Blend of technical lease accounting and leadership oversight in a collaborative global team Opportunity to mentor staff and influence complex accounting conclusions Stable, growth-oriented environment with strong industry reputation Key Responsibilities Review lease abstracts for new leases and amendments in accordance with global standard operating procedures Interpret lease agreements and assess appropriate accounting treatment for key provisions and clauses Evaluate complex lease accounting matters (modifications, unusual scenarios) with Controller partnership Review straight-line rent schedules and percentage rent calculations Oversee annual operating expense reconciliations and tenant billing accuracy Support rent commencement letter preparation across multiple product types Address tenant inquiries, support tenant audits, and maintain supporting documentation Guide and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants; step in during high-volume periods as needed Assist with ad hoc reporting schedules and ensure compliance with company policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA a plus 4+ years of professional accounting experience Commercial real estate experience strongly preferred Prior supervisory or lead experience required Strong knowledge and application of GAAP Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail Ability to manage high volume and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Perks Competitive base salary plus bonus potential Exposure to complex, large-scale real estate portfolios Collaborative, global team environment with leadership visibility Career growth within a highly reputable organization Comprehensive benefits and long-term advancement opportunities EB-1403820356
