SCOPE OF THE PROJECT DMIN Client is seeking a consultant-level Business Analyst/Technical Writer to support the planning and execution of a fast-paced Information Security Assessment Program across South Carolina state agencies. This program focuses on: Identifying risk and measuring compliance of Information Security programs and systems statewide Providing reporting and monitoring information to Client and agency leadership Conducting assessments of shared/common services and agency-owned security controls Tracking assessment progress and resolving issues Documenting and presenting assessment results to agency and division leadership Reporting assessment outcomes at agency, sector, state, or other defined levels Gathering requirements and recommendations for program improvement Developing policy, plan, process, and procedure documentation for the statewide Information Security Program DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Implementation assistance includes, but is not limited to: Status reporting of operational support tasks and related work efforts Identifying metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Creating, managing, and maintaining: Policies Plans Processes Procedures Process flows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Desk manuals Procedural guidelines Reviewing, editing, and maintaining documentation consistency and accuracy (staff and vendor submissions) Monitoring deadlines, milestones, and activities pplying change, risk, and resource management practices Documenting meetings, directives, and significant communications Developing and delivering professional technical program updates to Client leadership Communicating program strategy, direction, and changes to IT and business leadership Tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments Extensive use of Microsoft Office tools REQUIRED SKILLS (Ranked by Importance) Excellent technical writing skills with proven experience bility to create effective process flows and diagrams in PowerPoint or Visio PREFERRED SKILLS (Ranked by Importance) bility to simultaneously manage multiple reporting requirements Strong schedule management and planning skills Experience supporting regulatory compliance projects 5+ years of technical writing experience Experience creating technical SOP documentation and graphics in Visio REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree OR ssociate's Degree with 2+ years of experience SOFT SKILLS Excellent problem-solving ability Strong team player Excellent written and verbal communication skills bility to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments Strong collaborator with ability to meet deadlines bility to identify, map, and support business processes
