Responsibilities Cardiac ICU (CICU) unit within an acute care hospital Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Patient ratio of 1:1-2 Every other weekend required (12 weekend shifts during the contract) Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities may be required May be placed on call for low census; no additional call shifts required Charting via Epic EMR CRRT experience (Prismax) preferred First-time travelers are accepted for this position, depending on experience Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs Online modules are completed prior to start date Royal blue scrubs required Free parking is available via a parking pass distributed at badge pickup; garage clearance is limited to average-sized SUVs and trucks During hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September Requirements Active SC RN license or multi-state compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required SSN and Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-675071.
