Associate Director of Real World Evidence

We are in search of an Associate Director of Real-World Evidence (RWE) who will lead a dedicated team in generating impactful evidence throughout the drug development lifecycle. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in shaping the development and delivery of real-world insights, translating them into meaningful outcomes for patients and sponsors. Your leadership will guide a cross-functional team in navigating the realm of real-world data analytics, late-phase evidence programs, and observational research. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include: Leading and managing a dynamic RWE team, focusing on staffing, performance management, coaching, and professional development. Acting as a scientific and technical authority for comprehensive RWE and observational studies, overseeing processes from study design to execution and analysis. Utilizing epidemiologic principles and real-world data methodologies to support outcomes research and inform regulatory decisions. Coordinating cross-functional scientific teams, including epidemiologists, biostatisticians, and data scientists, within a collaborative environment. Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of global evidence generation programs, addressing geographic aspects and regulatory expectations. Maintaining excellence across RWE workstreams with a focus on compliance, documentation, and quality assurance. Fostering strong partnerships with sponsors and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication. Driving continuous improvement in RWE operations through rigorous processes and adherence to sponsor expectations. Who You Are: A trained epidemiologist or quantitative scientist with a passion for leadership and scientific strategy, who enjoys mentoring and guiding teams through complex data environments. Holding formal training in epidemiology or a related quantitative discipline, complemented by practical experience in real-world data research. Experienced in managing scientific teams, ensuring accountability for performance and quality. Possessing hands-on experience with end-to-end RWE or observational studies, utilizing diverse data sources. Proficient in supporting real-world evidence programs across different regions, adapting to various regulatory landscapes. Comfortable operating in matrixed, sponsor-facing settings, influencing teams and stakeholders without direct authority. Quality-focused and delivery-oriented, adept at balancing scientific accuracy with operational execution. Preferred Qualifications: An advanced degree in epidemiology, public health, or a related scientific field. Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or consulting industries, particularly in RWE, outcomes research, or observational studies. A deep understanding of real-world data sources and their applications in clinical development and regulatory contexts. Prior experience in FSP or Sponsor-dedicated models is a plus. Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $210,900.00 This range represents the anticipated salary range for this role, with actual pay determined by various factors including qualifications and experience.
