Our client in the East Haddam area is seeking a part-time Payroll Specialist to join their team. Why This Role Is Unique Plays a key support role during an active audit and organizational transformation Offers immediate visibility into municipal finance and payroll operations Provides the opportunity to streamline processes in a complex, multiunion payroll environment Includes flexibility and a degree of autonomy within a cohesive, long-tenured team Primary Responsibilities Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll for all employees through ADP, covering both hourly and salaried staff across multiple union groups Review and validate timecards and ADP system rules to ensure accurate, compliant pay aligned with union contracts and local requirements Research, resolve, and correct payroll discrepancies; serve as the primary resource for payroll-related inquiries Uphold strict confidentiality and reliability throughout the audit period and duration of the assignment Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience processing payroll using ADP or a comparable payroll system Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a high level of discretion Compensation $25-$29/hour Click here to apply online #INFEB2026 EB-4195235927
