Supply Chain & Operations - Procurement Strategy and Sourcing Consulting - Manager The opportunity We are looking for a dynamic manager with extensive expertise in Strategic Procurement, particularly in Category Management and Sourcing. In this role, you will assess clients' capabilities in category management and source-to-contract processes, creating opportunities to enhance total value through strategic execution. You will lead a team of consultants, implementing innovative solutions—including AI-driven strategies—to enhance procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve service. Your key responsibilities Engage directly with clients to identify strategic procurement improvement opportunities and collaborate in executing enhancements. Facilitate process workshops with clients to gather data and insights, assess the current state, and pinpoint total cost reduction opportunities. Analyze client challenges in category management and recommend innovative solutions based on best practices. Develop project plans and manage overall program delivery throughout engagements. Own project deliverables, ensuring quality, facilitating client feedback, and aligning with expectations. Design and implement AI-driven procurement solutions to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency. Build category expertise across various spend segments. Conduct spend and market analytics to support opportunity identification and estimate potential total cost savings. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and total cost reduction projects. Establish strong relationships with client stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and satisfaction. Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge on successful procurement strategies and practices. Contribute to thought leadership in sourcing and category management, including the integration of AI technologies. Enhance expertise in procurement technology solutions such as spend analytics, sourcing tools, and contract management systems. Support business development efforts, including proposals, solution innovation, and client service enhancements. Guide team members through complex assessments, sourcing, and category management projects with best practices. To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field. 5-8 years of strategic sourcing and category management experience, with at least 2 years in procurement consulting. A strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices. Experience in managing indirect or direct categories. Demonstrated ability to develop solutions that drive substantial cost savings or capability enhancements. Ideally, you'll also have Leadership experience within a consulting context. Familiarity with spend analytics, sourcing opportunity assessments, and project management frameworks. Exposure to procurement technology and AI solutions. Involvement in multi-disciplinary transformation projects. Knowledge of change management principles. The base salary range for this position is $128,400 to $235,300, with New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California ranges being $154,000 to $267,400, adjusted based on factors like experience and geography. A flexible vacation policy allows you to manage your time off according to your personal needs. You're expected to work in person 40-60% of the time in client-serving roles throughout the year.
