Heavy Equipment Mechanic Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment to identify potential issues. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and propose effective solutions. Conduct repairs and overhaul components as necessary to ensure equipment reliability. Test machinery and equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work completed. Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures at all times. Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments to support project timelines. Welding experience a plus Requirements: Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry. Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program is an asset.
