Create individualized treatment plans designed to meet both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing restoration. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members, to ensure a unified approach to patient care. Provide vital education to patients and their families to support progress during and after therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Keep accurate and timely patient records in accordance with all relevant state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaborative opportunities. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending. Certifications State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatments for all age groups, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
