Description The Access and Reimbursement Specialist (ARS) will serve as the expert on reimbursement, access, and coverage matters affecting the client's products. This role involves providing in-person or virtual education to designated accounts on reimbursement and access to ensure patients receive appropriate care. The ARS will assess reimbursement challenges and serve as a local resource for field personnel and regional management, following company policies. In collaboration with patient support hubs, the ARS will assist with individual cases concerning patient access and coverage. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with various teams, including Field Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Public Affairs, while adhering to all corporate and industry guidelines. The ARS will undertake a range of responsibilities to support patient access to products including: Analyzing access and reimbursement challenges. Educating healthcare provider (HCP) offices on access and reimbursement topics. Providing training to field teams upon approval. Coordinating access and reimbursement issues with third-party entities including hubs. Offering support on Specialty Pharmacy matters for covered products. Informing HCPs about product coverage under various benefits (Commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid). Responding to inquiries regarding coverage, coding, and patient access issues. Updating HCPs on private and public payer coverage changes affecting product access. Delivering subject matter expertise on payer-related challenges impacting product access, compliant with policy. Educating HCP offices about the products' hub program, including patient support services and financial assistance. Communicating effectively about access resources and payer policies. Participating in National and Regional Meetings. The ideal candidate will possess initiative, resourcefulness, and a results-oriented approach, with qualifications that include: A Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant sales, healthcare, scientific, marketing, or military experience. A minimum of three years in the public or private third-party reimbursement field or related pharmaceutical industry experience in managed care or patient services. Preferred experience in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Cardiology, Pulmonology, or orphan drugs. Proven proficiency with hubs and a comprehensive understanding of billing, coding, and appeals across provider types. Experience with commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid in the relevant geographic area. Demonstrated understanding of hub and patient support services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel locally and nationally as needed. A valid driver's license for healthcare account visits.
