Title: Manual Machinist II (Direct Hire) Hiring Organization: Connexion Systems & Engineering Compensation, Benefits, and Employment Type Duration: direct hire Pay rate: $30 - $45/hr based on experience Job Location: Beverly, MA Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm Job#: bh18673 Description: We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in Beverly, MA seeking an experienced Manual Machinist II to join their production team on a permanent basis. This is a high-impact role within a precision manufacturing environment, and the company is open to considering highly qualified candidates at competitive market rates. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is ideal for a seasoned machinist who thrives in a hands-on, quality-driven environment with minimal supervision. Position Summary The Manual Machinist II is responsible for the manufacture and inspection of high-precision components of varying complexity. This individual ensures both the quality and quantity of work performed while contributing technical expertise to the broader machining team. Key Responsibilities Determine proper machining methods based on material, part geometry, and tolerances Select appropriate cutting tools and workholding solutions Set up and operate various manual machine tools in accordance with company procedures and time standards Perform prototype and production machining operations Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions Select appropriate gaging equipment and inspect finished parts Provide technical guidance and training to other machinists and operators Maintain a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement Perform additional duties as required Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 10 years of machining experience Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred: Technical or vocational school training Core Competencies Exceptional attention to detail Strong communication skills (written and verbal English) Professional and cooperative team approach Basic computer proficiency Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the shop floor Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Visual acuity (corrected) sufficient to read drawings and inspect precision parts Additional Information Full-time, hourly non-exempt position Overtime and occasional Saturday work may be required based on production needs No travel required No direct supervisory responsibilities If you are a highly experienced manual machinist looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a company that values precision craftsmanship, we encourage you to apply.
