Job Description Summary: As the Director of Data Center Operations Reliability, you will play a crucial role in guaranteeing the outstanding performance and dependability of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within Oracle's vast data center network. This leadership position involves enhancing MEP system reliability while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: MEP Infrastructure Maintenance: Lead and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all data center MEP assets, ensuring adherence to Oracle and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) protocols. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Vendor Management and Engineering teams to optimize equipment selection, integrate OEM updates promptly, and identify potential risks. Service Delivery & Validation: Manage System Capacity and Compliance Studies (SCCS) and validate service delivery strategies to ensure operational readiness and optimal capacity. End-of-Life Planning & Quality Assurance: Oversee the end-of-life process, ensuring rigorous quality assurance in conjunction with Engineering for the retirement and refresh of equipment. Day 2 Operations Management: Tackle operational challenges after deployment to protect critical IT loads and ensure seamless business continuity. Incident Management: Act as the escalation point and leader for incident response, supervising tier 2 technical support and overseeing the establishment of Facility Operations Centers across Oracle's data center portfolio. Building Automation & Centralized Services: Lead the Building Automation Operations team, maintaining operational standards and enhancing response capabilities across all facilities. Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of safety, compliance, and innovation by setting best practices and driving continuous enhancements in operational reliability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Over 10 years of progressive experience in data center operations or facilities management, including substantial leadership roles. Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and infrastructure maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and OEM standards. Proven experience in service delivery planning, incident management, and leading cross-disciplinary teams. Excellent analytical and project management abilities with exceptional organizational skills. Experience in managing building automation systems and centralized monitoring systems (BMS, SCADA, CMMS). Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong stakeholder management capabilities. Demonstrated success in vendor management and contract oversight. Preferred Attributes: Professional certifications such as CFM, PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent are advantageous. Experience in large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure environments. A strong grasp of risk management, quality assurance, and end-of-life asset strategies. Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $161,700 to $338,500 per year, along with eligibility for bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation.
