In this pivotal role, you will shape and advance the strategic vision of our Innovation Lab, leading a talented team dedicated to developing a vibrant pipeline of innovative candidates and identifying new opportunities for rapid advancement. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in both science and business who can critically analyze and prioritize cutting-edge, science-driven opportunities that have the potential to set new standards of care. As the Vice President, you will develop actionable business plans, assess unmet needs in the market, and adeptly navigate the complexities of clinical, regulatory, and reimbursement landscapes to ensure the success of early-stage programs. A PhD, MD, or equivalent in life sciences or engineering is required, with an MBA or equivalent business training considered a strong advantage. You should possess at least 15 years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences focused on early-stage ventures, along with a proven track record of strategic thinking and successful execution. Familiarity with ophthalmology or related specialties is essential, as well as a demonstrated commitment to innovation. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills are critical for this role, along with an innovative mindset that encourages unconventional thinking, all while remaining dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
