Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Team up with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive and holistic healthcare. Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their loved ones on therapy techniques to promote ongoing progress in their personal environments. Evaluate and Document Progress: Monitor clinical developments and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring patients remain on their therapeutic journey. Education Requirements A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Continuing education and post-graduate certifications are both championed and encouraged. Licensure & Certifications Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required. Desired Skills A genuine passion for helping others achieve their utmost level of independence. Strong and empathetic communication skills, both with patients and team members. Creative thinking and adaptability to meet diverse patient needs. Confidence to work effectively both independently and as part of a cohesive, interdisciplinary team.
