Grind/Blend Operator

Grind/Blend Operator General plant labor, including operating machinery, forklift operation, lab sampling, grinder operation, rotator and slurry meat operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds, and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: General plant labor.Utilize and operate a forkliftUtilize lab equipment to take samples and perform tests on productsTemperature monitoring of product and rotator operationFresh meat sampling/Frozen meat samplingRaw product unloadingFinished product loadingPlate Freezer OperationInventory countsStretch Wrapper OperationPressure Washer OperationHousekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.Shovel and clean up spills in the plant.Keep barrels emptied of trash and products.Clean equipment from top to bottom.Help unstop screw conveyors.Cut plastic and product off of screw.Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains.Paint as directed.Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will typically not supervise another position. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and write.Ability to climb stairs and silos.Ability to stand for entire shift.
