As a Principal Clinical Pharmacist, you will monitor drug development and medical literature while providing essential clinical support to internal stakeholders. Your expertise in managed care and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) will be vital in developing and implementing strategies to manage costs and enhance health outcomes. This role involves tackling diverse and complex problems, utilizing your extensive knowledge to drive positive results. In this position, you will create, maintain, and operationalize formularies for pharmacy and medical administered drug products, analyzing drug utilization trends to inform formulary strategies. Collaboration on research projects and crafting proposals will be part of your responsibilities, and you will develop corporate communications to share with senior leadership. You will support trend management through in-depth analyses of drug spend, utilization, and approval scenarios, advising executives on functional strategies significant to our operations. Your independent judgment and decision-making skills will be key in addressing complex issues with minimal supervision. Impact with Your Skills Your Responsibilities Will Include: Staying updated with State and Federal pharmacy regulations and implementing necessary changes to ensure compliance, aligning with business and public relation strategies. Developing corporate communications for senior leadership. Conducting trend management analyses related to drug spending and utilization. Providing strategic advice to executives on significant matters. Making independent decisions on complex job-related tasks. Collaborating effectively across teams and managing projects while maintaining strong communication with staff and management at all levels. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Active Pharmacist license with the Board of Pharmacy in the relevant state, with the ability to obtain a Florida license Demonstrated success in facilitating and consulting across teams while managing projects Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project environment while maintaining attention to detail Exceptional oral and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Expertise in building collaborative relationships with staff at various levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications: Pharm D Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field Experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Project Experience in pharmacy benefits and health benefits Additional Information: As part of our hiring process, we will use an interviewing technology called HireVue to help us connect with you regarding your relevant skills and experience at your convenience. Work Requirements: To ensure efficient work from home, employees must have internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; a wired, cable, or DSL connection is recommended. Individuals residing in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive bi-weekly reimbursement for their internet expenses. Humana will supply necessary telephone equipment for work functions. Employees should work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $138,900 - $191,000 per year, with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
