As a Senior Data Scientist on our Retail Trading Team, you will spearhead pricing experiments and play a critical role in shaping our pricing strategy. Your responsibilities will include designing and analyzing tests, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement and profitability, and effectively articulating your insights and strategies to executive leadership. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define the pricing vision, roadmap, and priorities. Design and develop pricing models and evaluation frameworks to identify optimal pricing strategies. Create causal models to assess the impacts of fee changes, utilizing experiments and observational data. Initiate and maintain data pipelines and models with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior leadership. What We're Looking For: A demonstrated commitment to core cultural values such as clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution. A preferred PhD or Master’s degree in Economics or Statistics, with 5+ years of relevant experience. At least 5 years of experience in pricing experimentation, data analysis, and statistical modeling. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages applicable for data analysis and statistical modeling. A proven track record of developing plans for analytics projects and managing extensive, complex analytical initiatives across multiple teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex data and analyses to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Detail-oriented and able to perform well under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in applying causal inference techniques beyond controlled experiments. A background in the cryptocurrency sector or experience at a crypto exchange is a plus. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.
