Overview: The Instrumentation and Electrical Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems in both new and remodeled facilities. This position involves planning daily activities for the crew and ensuring efficient workflow. Responsibilities: Production: Interpret specifications and read blueprints Assist in the layout of work for the crew Plan daily activities and manage crew productivity to meet schedules Monitor quality control of work performed by craft workers Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials Maintain project documentation including daily, safety, and inspection reports Ensure operator qualifications and equipment maintenance Support the Superintendent in coordinating project activities May perform related trade work as required Travel to different jobsites on short notice Implement best production methods to enhance efficiency Perform other duties as assigned Quality: Monitor crew installations for quality Ensure quality work is completed in each work area Identify opportunities to improve safety and productivity Safety: Promote and adhere to all safety policies Train crew members in safe work practices Audit safety practices and ensure proper use of PPE Supervisory: Assist in hiring and training crew members Supervise daily activities of craft workers Conduct regular performance reviews of crew members Manage crew of six or more employees Train and mentor new workers Qualifications: Knowledge of health and safety programs and regulations Participate in daily toolbox meetings Demonstrate safe behavior and compliance Ability to read safety and operating instructions Competence in basic arithmetic and measurements Effective communication of instructions Maintain strong relationships with team members and supervisors Education and Work Experience: 4 years of related experience or equivalent education NCCER Certification/License preferred Minimum 1 year of experience as an electrical foreman Physical Demands: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks in varying conditions Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 pounds Work in uncomfortable weather and environmental conditions Effectively use personal protective equipment Navigate confined and uneven spaces, including heights Hours: Full-Time position with typical hours around 50 per week, subject to project requirements. Travel: Requires travel up to 90%, with presence directly on the Project Site.
