Oncology Clinic Nurse Educator - Full Time Location: Grand Junction, Colorado Pay rate: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour Shift: Monday - Friday Position Overview A healthcare facility in Grand Junction, Colorado is seeking a full-time Oncology Clinic Nurse Educator to support clinical education initiatives within the oncology department. This permanent role focuses on developing clinical competencies, supporting accreditation standards, and providing ongoing education and training for both inpatient and outpatient oncology nursing staff. Key Responsibilities Develop clinical competencies based on accreditation standards, organizational policies, and departmental needs. Collaborate with Nursing Management and the Nursing Education team to coordinate and implement annual skills day and continuing education programs. Support and/or teach department and hospital orientation sessions. Serve as administrator for the learning management system. Provide training for standard oncology practices to inpatient and outpatient nursing staff. Co-facilitate Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy courses biannually. Co-facilitate the Oncology Certification Preparation course. Maintain competency in all inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy infusion processes. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Colorado. Certifications: Current BLS certification required; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred. Experience: Prior oncology experience required; minimum experience may vary per facility guidelines. Skills: Strong knowledge of oncology nursing practices and chemotherapy infusion processes. Ability to develop and deliver clinical education programs. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and clinical teams.
