Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" Job Title: Designer Draftsman - Melbourne, FL (Secret) Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US The proposed salary range for this position is: $65,000 - $136,500 The Opportunity: Candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located at our facility in Melbourne, Florida with telework potential, with occasional travel to Fairfax, Virginia as duties require. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting our production and R&D operations. Responsibilities: The candidate will work closely with production management, quality, and engineering to support documentation, and design files. The candidate will be responsible for continual improvement of design and manufacturing documentation and ensure compliance to industry standards. The candidate will be responsible for current designs and future design work documentation to support outside production and internal manufacturing. The candidate may have other duties as assigned by management in support of manufacturing and/or engineering services. Qualifications: Required: US citizenship, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement Active DoD SECRET security clearance, due to contract requirement (not sure if needed) 5 years' experience with CAD systems (Catia, ProE, Solidworks, AutoCAD or similar)Good organizational, inter-personnel and written communication skills (must list the specific programs on resume) Desired: Experience developing documentation with Solidworks Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) ASME 14.5 -2009 Familiarity with Engineering Drawing Practices AMSE 14.100 - 2013 Experience managing data containing like design files Experience working with several disciplines to develop high quality documents Certificates/Security Clearances/OtherCurrent Secret Security Clearance
