This collaborative, team-based group includes six non-invasive cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, and five interventional cardiologists-representing some of the most highly trained specialists in the region. Mercy Hospital South is recognized among the first hospitals in Missouri to achieve state certification as a Level One STEMI Center. The hospital has also earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Heart Failure, as well as the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award.
