New Tech Global is currently seeking a Tool Room Team Lead on 1st or 2nd shift for a client located in New Jersey. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.Salary: DOE Schedule: 1st - 7:00am - 3:30pm or 2nd - 3:00pm - 11:30pm Summary The Tool Room Team Lead in the NJ plant is responsible for managing the daily toolroom operations, ensuring that high-precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures are manufactured, maintained, and available to meet production needs. They act as a bridge between management and technical staff, combining hands-on expertise with supervisory duties to minimize production downtime. The Tool Room Team Lead will collaborate with their team and demonstrate values of accountability, teamwork, and integrity. Responsibilities • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and material requirements to determine optimal design and production methods. Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to ensure quality and functionality of tools. • Plan and prioritize daily maintenance, commercial repairs, and new tools to align with production schedules. • Design and create precision tools, dies, molds, and fixtures. • Direct, mentor, and schedule the activities of toolmakers. • Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and gauge blocks, to measure and inspect finished tools. • Maintain accurate records of tool design, production, and performance. • Adhere to safety, quality, and production standards. • Troubleshoot issues with tools and recommend repairs or modifications. Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED required • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tool Maker • Experience with progressive dies strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of machine tools and their applications • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings • Extensive experience operating metalworking equipment, including milling machines, grinders, lathes, and drills • Experience with quality control inspection methods and tools • Excellent attention to detail and precision • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
